The recording session

Your voice is already being gathered — every answer you speak, every voice note, every spark told out loud. This adds half an hour of it recorded properly, in one sitting, in a quiet room at one steady level. It does not replace what your Epic collects. It sharpens what comes back at the end.

$5one payment

About thirty minutes. Take it in one go, or come back to it.

You will be asked to sign in first.

For travelers who have reached Taygeta, where your Echo first speaks.

Payments open soon: nothing is charged today. Your order is kept as a reservation, and you confirm before any payment is taken.

  • It adds to your voice notes, never replaces them
  • A bad room is refused, not billed
  • Erasable at any time

What's included

  • Passages to read aloud, each one redone on its own if you want
  • Your own memories, read in your own words
  • The names and dates of your own people, said by you
  • Moments to speak freely, with nothing written down
  • Kept beside everything else your Epic gathers, and used together at the end

How it works

  1. We listen to the room first

We check that the room is quiet enough. If it isn't, we say so before you record a word — and before you pay.

  2. You read, then you speak

A guided half hour: passages to read, your own memories, then moments to speak freely. Any passage can be redone alone.

  3. It joins the rest

The session is added to the voice your Epic has been gathering all along. At the end, your voice is built from both.

Good to know

Do I still need to make voice notes?

Yes, and they matter just as much. The session is clean and steady; your voice notes are tired, delighted, exasperated, alive. The best result by far comes from having both.

Why does it cost anything?

Because it is extra. Everything needed to build your voice is already included in your subscription — this is half an hour of guided recording on top, to make what comes back sharper.

What if my recording is poor?

We check the level, the distance and the background noise on every passage, and ask you to redo any that falls short. We would rather refuse a bad session than keep the money.

Can I do it more than once?

Yes, and there is a reason to. A voice at forty is not a voice at fifty-five. Every session is kept, and together they become a record of how you sounded across the years.

Where does the recording go?

Into your own archive, like everything else. It is never used for anyone but you, it is in your export, and you can erase it from Settings at any time.

The whole of it is in the terms.
