The price
A week free, from your first conversation with Iphthimé. After that, one subscription — and the longer you commit, the less it costs: $11.99 a month, or $119.99 a year, which is $10 a month. There are no tiers, no add-ons, and no part of your own life kept behind a higher plan. You can move up a plan at any time.
Two ways to pay: $11.99 a month, or $119.99 a year, which is $10 a month and seventeen percent less. We would rather you took the month or the year — not because they earn us more, but because an archive is worth something after a year and very little after three weeks.
Nothing is committed. Cancel any time and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. On the App Store and Google Play, Apple and Google renew a subscription twenty-four hours before the period ends, so a cancellation has to reach them before that — their rule, not ours.
Why it costs anything at all
Most things you use for free are paid for by advertising or by the resale of what you say. This product exists to refuse exactly that trade, so it has to be paid for the ordinary way. Here is the whole account, honestly.
- The intelligence that listens. Every message Iphthimé answers, every memory she weaves, every trial your Echo takes and every spark you react to costs real money to compute. The price covers the models that read and write with you; that part grows as your archive grows, only in what it costs us.
- Keeping it, for decades. Database, encrypted storage for your recordings and photographs, backups, servers, the security work. A few dollars more every month — and unlike the rest, this one continues whether you visit or not. An archive that goes quiet is still an archive being paid for.
- The part that has to outlive us. Selione promises something unusual: that what you build here still opens long after you stop paying attention to it. That means duplicated storage, an open export format, and money set aside so the lights do not go out the first bad quarter.
- The mobile stores take 15 to 30% of a subscription bought through them, which is why the same price bought on the web funds more of the work.
- What remains pays for the work itself: writing the questions, the safeguards for grief, the legal and ethical review, and the people doing it.
What we will never do to lower it
- Sell or rent your data, in any form, to anyone.
- Show you advertising, or let anyone target you through what you have told Iphthimé.
- Use your life to train an AI model.
- Hold a feature of your own archive hostage behind a more expensive plan.
- Make leaving difficult, or keep charging you quietly after you stop using it.
If you stop paying
Nothing is deleted. You keep reading, correcting and exporting everything you have already told Iphthimé — your archive is yours whether or not you are a subscriber. What pauses is the part that costs money to run: new conversations, new quests, new sparks, and the work your Echo does. Come back whenever and it picks up exactly where it stopped.
Invitations
If someone gave you a code, it adds a free month to your free week. One code per traveler, and it is applied the moment you enter it — no card, no conditions.
Where payment stands today
Payment is not open yet. A plan chosen on the web is reserved: nothing is charged, and you will be asked to confirm before any payment is ever taken. In the iPhone and iPad app, once it is on the App Store, Apple will handle the subscription after your free week — and it opens the web Sanctuary too. When payment opens, the price and what it includes will be shown before you pay, you will be able to cancel from Settings in one click, and consumers in the EU and UK keep their statutory right of withdrawal. The full terms are in Terms.
